Bermudians Compete In Comet Event In NJ

Three Bermudian boats are competing in the Comet International Championships, which are being hosted by the Shrewsbury Sailing & Yacht Club in New Jersey.

After the opening day of racing, Bermudian sailor Rudy Bailey is in second place overall.

Bailey, who finished with 7 points, demonstrated consistency with two second-place finishes and one third-place finish in the day’s three races. He trails the fleet leader, Jay Rhame.

Bermuda’s Maxwell Curtis and his crew, Wesley Tucker, are currently in fifth place with 18 points. The duo improved their results throughout the day, posting finishes of 11th, fourth, and third.

The team of Gregory Wade and Geno Smith is in 20th place in the 20-boat fleet with 56 points.
