Mr. Macdonald added that CG’s efforts extend beyond their own offices. “Through their CG Wellness initiatives, they’re inspiring a healthier workforce across Bermuda and helping strengthen the community’s overall mental wellness ecosystem.”
The spokesperson said, “Achieving the Platinum Level Mindful Employer Certification aligns seamlessly with CG’s wider commitment to wellness through its Zest Wellness Program, which supports member companies across Bermuda and the Caribbean in developing their employee wellness strategies.”
“Through participation in the MEC Program, companies like CG Insurance not only create a supportive workplace but also play a significant role in changing perceptions about a typically sensitive topic,” explained Foundation Director and HR professional Annie Richardson.
“Additionally, employers who prioritize mental health and wellness will see positive impacts on talent attraction and retention, employee engagement, productivity, and healthcare costs.” Ms. Richardson is an advisor and assessor for the Program, alongside fellow Director Vaughn Mosher.
Jacqueline Perrault, Director of Wellness, noted the significance of the recognition, saying: “Earning this certification affirms the importance of making mental wellness a priority in the workplace, not only through policies but through daily practices that truly support our people and foster open dialogue.”
In addition, CG’s CEO, Naz Farrow, underscored the company’s broader commitment: “This Platinum Level Certification is a proud moment for CG. It reflects our dedication to supporting mental wellness, not just for our employees, but also for our clients and the communities we serve.”
The spokesperson said, “CG Insurance joins a growing group of forward-thinking employers who are taking proactive steps to destigmatise mental health and build workplace environments where all employees feel valued and supported.
