Golf: Betschart Begins Junior Pan Am Games
Bermudian golfer Oliver Betschart opened his campaign in the men’s individual golf tournament at the Junior Pan American Games in Paraguay with a 7-over-par 79.
Competing at the Asunción Golf Club, Betschart made the turn at 3-over after recording one birdie, four pars and four bogies on the front nine. On the back nine he added another birdie and five pars, but a bogey and two double bogies left him with a difficult opening round.
Betschart is the only Bermudian athlete competing on day 11 of the Games.
