“With 11 bus routes and 4 ferry routes operating 7 days a week,”

That is not what you said 2 weeks ago. Let me remind you.

“the Pink Ferry Route, which services the Paget and Warwick communities, ‘will not resume operations on July 25, 2025, as previously scheduled.’” See https://bernews.com/2025/07/advisory-pink-ferry-route-resumption-delayed/

So what 4 ferry routes operating 7 days a week is the PLP Government referring to? Or are we being misled yet again?

The Government spokesperson has missed the mark.

When the pink route was suspended a few weeks ago, it was announced that weekend service would not resume once the route came back online.

But it appears that weekend service on this route is suspended indefinitely. An updated summer ferry schedule has been published and weekends have been removed completely.

Which leads to an obvious question…

If the repairs were successfully completed for the relevant ferry, why isn’t weekend service resuming too?

I’m not buying maintenance, etc. The weekday service now does just a few runs in the morning and doesn’t resume until 3:45pm!

You’re telling me that maintenance can’t be done 5 days a week between the hours of 9am – 3:30pm? If that is the case, this is true incompetence.

What about residents who want to take the ferry on weekends?

What about guests staying in tourist accommodations on the Warwick/Paget route who want to use the ferry on weekends?

Also, has anyone considered that there were people who took advantage of the later ferry times after rush hour? People like seniors, etc.

It eludes me why there is such a cavalier attitude about the reduction of this service. This is a complete joke.

That question is so obvious it shouldn’t even be necessary to ask it !
I bet it will go unanswered though .
Are residents stranded on the island all weekend if they don’t have their own private tender ?
