Squash: Bermuda Compete Against Cayman
The Bermuda women’s national squash team lost 2-0 to the Cayman Islands in their second match of the XXVI Pan American Squash Championship.
In the first match, Bermuda’s Abigail Brewer was defeated by Jade Pitcairn of the Cayman Islands in a 28-minute contest. Brewer won the first game 11-7 before Pitcairn took the next three games 11-8, 11-6, 11-7.
Charlotte Toogood of Bermuda then faced Kali Maclean. Maclean won in straight sets with scores of 11-6, 11-4, 13-11. The match lasted 22 minutes.
The third match, scheduled between Bermuda’s Rachel Barnes and Emma Turnbull, was not played as the Cayman Islands had already secured the victory.
