Traffic: Paving Works Shift To Middle Road
The Ministry of Public Works and Environment advises the public that “ongoing paving works currently underway in Smith’s Parish will shift to the eastbound lane of Middle Road, from Store Hill to North Shore Road.”
A Government spokesperson said, “Beginning Tuesday, 26 August 2025, this section of Middle Road will be closed from Store Hill through to Verdmont Road for approximately one week.
“Following the full closure, the road will reopen under single-lane traffic control from Verdmont Road to North Shore Road through to Friday, 19 September 2025. The scheduled work will take place Monday to Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
“Ministry representatives will manage traffic controls using barricades, signs, and cones. During the road closure period, motorists will be rerouted via Store Hill, North Shore Road, and Verdmont Road.
“During the lane restriction phase, the same detour routes are recommended to avoid delays. Please refer to the attached Road Traffic Notice for complete details.”
