Video: Police Press Conference On Bodycams
The Bermuda Police Service held a press conference today [Aug 6] to provide information on their new body-worn cameras.
“They bring about enhanced transparency and accountability,” the Police Commissioner said. “It provides an objective, unbiased record of that interaction.”
One of the upgrades the cameras have is the ability to live stream, with the police explaining this will give commanders back at Police Headquarters the ability to see what is happening, and noted that the storage is encrypted as to provide the needed privacy and cybersecurity protocols.
They currently have around 200 cameras.
