Daniel Phillips Wins ITA Opener In Tulsa
Bermudian Daniel Phillips opened his campaign at the 2025 ITA Men’s All-American Championships with a victory over the tournament’s 21st seed, Mans Dahlberg.
Phillips, who represents Tulane University, defeated Dahlberg of the University of Virginia in a three-set match, 6-4, 5-7, 7-5, at the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma.
Phillips secured the first break of the match to win the opening set 6-4. Dahlberg responded in the second set, winning 7-5 to force a decisive third set. The final set saw both players hold serve until late in the contest when Phillips broke Dahlberg to win the set 7-5 and secure the victory.
