Diversions On Harbour Road Due To Collision
[Updated] A two vehicle collision on Harbour Road in Paget has blocked the roadway, with traffic currently being diverted.
A police spokesperson said, “There has been a two vehicle, damage only, road traffic collision involving a light truck and a motorcycle on Harbour Road, near the Junction with Highwood Lane, Paget.
“As a result, the roadway is currently blocked, with eastbound traffic being diverted along Chapel Road and westbound traffic being diverted along Lovers Lane.
“Delays are to be expected. Where possible, please use alternative routes to get to your destinations. Motorists are urged to approach with caution and to follow the instructions of officers at these locations to help facilitate the smooth flow of traffic.”
Update: A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works and Environment advises the motoring public that an emergency eastbound lane closure is now in effect along Harbour Road in Paget Parish, between Chapel Lane and Lover’s Lane.
“This closure has been implemented to allow for an urgent wall investigation following a recent accident in the area.
“Eastbound traffic is being diverted via Chapel Lane to Middle Road, while westbound traffic may continue to use Harbour Road as normal.
“Traffic controls, including barricades, signage, and cones, will be in place for the duration of the works.
“The Ministry apologises for any inconvenience and encourages the public’s full cooperation while these emergency measures are in effect.”
