Bermuda matched up against Jamaica in front of a sold out crowd at the National Sports Center, with the visitors claiming the 4-0 win.
The match report from Concacaf said, “The Final Round of the Concacaf Qualifiers to the 2026 FIFA World Cup continued with Jamaica earning a 4-nil win against Bermuda in Group B on Friday at the Bermuda National Sports Centre in Devonshire, Bermuda.
“The visitors got off to a quick start, with Damion Lowe scoring from the center of the box in the 6’ for Jamaica to pull ahead.
“Renaldo Cephas doubled the lead for the Reggae Boyz in the 26’, with a finish to the bottom right corner to capitalize on a headed pass from Greg Leigh.
“Bailey Cadamarteri produced three dangerous opportunities for Jamaica before halftime. He came closest in the 37’ with a shot from the right side of the box that was just wide of the far post, and in the 43’ with a finish that bounced off the left post.
“Jamaica rounded out the result with two second-half goals. Kasey Palmer found the back of the net in the 58’ with a hit to the bottom left corner from outside the box.
“Shamar Nicholson struck in the 90’ with a powerful header at the near post on a corner kick opportunity.
“Jamaica goalkeeper Jahmali White finished with three saves as he kept a clean sheet.
“The victory sees Jamaica claim three points in Group B’s opening fixture. The Reggae Boyz will host Trinidad and Tobago in search of another win on Tuesday. Bermuda will visit Curaçao on Tuesday as both nations continue their World Cup hopes.”
Bermuda’s starting lineup included goalkeeper Dale Eve, with Nahki Wells, Richard Jones Jr., Julian Carpenter, Ne-Jai Tucker, Kane Crichlow, Djair Parfitt, Deniche Hill, Willie Clemons, Harry Twite, and Reggie Lambe on the field for the start.

What the report failed to say was that Bermuda was out matched out played by Jamaica they do not seem to have the physicality plus they looked out of shape. And the way the team was set up didn’t help.
More skill, more confidence, more aggressive play, and better fitness, is needed for a better outcome. It can be done! GO HARD Warriors!!
Jamaica – 8 English born / trained professional players. If you don’t think that matters then there is no need to discuss this further. FYI it really,really makes a difference .
8 players born in England – 8 players exposed to a higher level of training from age 7 – 8 players playing at a higher level than all Bermuda players. Nahki Wells the exception.
It seems that we need a more serious approach to fix our soccer woes.Even cadaver-like (no offense) Haiti, is better than us. We, a first world country with money, should be able to overcome this hurdle. Otherwise, stop entering international competitions. That was embarrassing. Use that as motivation or pack it in. That pink kit doesn’t look like me mean business either.
They literally beat other teams including a higher ranked side in Cuba to get to the final round of qualifying and you are all “pack it in”. Good Lord.
