Update 5:40pm: A police spokesperson said, “There is reason to believe Ja’Dore may be staying away from home voluntarily, and possibly being harboured. We are pleading with the public, especially parents and guardians with teens and young adults, to check your homes and properties.

“We urge anyone who may know her whereabouts to do the right thing and come forward.

“Keeping a minor from her family, regardless of intention, can be dangerous and may carry legal and emotional consequences.

“This child’s safety is our number one priority.

“Anyone who is knowingly allowing Ja’Dore Wilson to remain hidden, even under the belief that they are helping her, is potentially interfering with a missing persons investigation.
