Jamin Hodgkins Impresses For Pacific Pride

Bermudian rugby player Jamin Hodgkins was in impressive form in the Pacific Pride Academy’s 43-36 defeat away to the University of Victoria yesterday [September 13].

Hodgkins accounted for 16 of his team’s points [four conversions, one penalty and one try].

The Academy aims to develop young Canadian players and prepare them for professional careers at the highest level.

They compete in the British Columbia Men’s Premier League, a provincial competition featuring 12 clubs from British Columbia and one from Washington state.

Hodgkins, who is eligible for Canada, represented the Pride last season and has previously played for Luctonians First XV in England and Bridgend and Glamorgan Wanderers in Wales.

The fly-half or fullback currently plays for Halifax Tars, an amateur team in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

He is a former Bermuda Under-19 international and Warwick Academy student.
