Video: Bean-Rosario Scores In Hampton Victory
Bermudian Katherine Bean-Rosario played a key role in the Hampton University women’s soccer team’s 6-0 victory over Lincoln at Powhatan Field, scoring a goal and providing an assist.
Hampton’s offense exploded for five goals in the second half, securing the win. Caitlyn Peace scored the first two goals of the match for Hampton, with her first coming in the 22nd minute. She followed up 20 seconds into the second half to make it 2-0.
Evan-Nichole Whitaker extended the lead to 3-0 at the 59th minute. Eden Lander and Shania Harris then scored in a span of less than three minutes, making the score 5-0. Harris’s goal was assisted by Bean-Rosario.
Bean-Rosario capped the scoring for Hampton, converting a penalty kick in the 89th minute following a handball in the box.
