BELCO Working To Restore Power After Outages
BELCO is responding to multiple power outages across the island this morning [Oct 11] caused by ‘high winds and overgrown vegetation.’
BELCO said, “We are aware of pocket outages scattered across the island due to the high winds & overgrown vegetation. Our crew is currently addressing a downed power line & a pole fire. Our team will start addressing pocket outages after.

“We ask everyone to avoid Montpelier Road at this time and ask that all road users exercise extreme caution when driving, walking or riding near our working crews in any other restoration area. The safety of you, our crew, the public and all motorists is paramount.
“If you are affected by an outage, please unplug all sensitive equipment and electronics. We thank you for your patience.”
