Andrew Armstrong Scores In Dayton Victory
Bermudian footballer Andrew Armstrong was one of five different goalscorers for the University of Dayton men’s soccer team in a dominant 5-0 victory over visiting Baldwin Wallace on Senior Night at Baujan Field.
The win extended Dayton’s home unbeaten streak to five games and improved their overall season record to 4-2-6.
Dayton established a rapid pace early in the match, scoring three times in the opening 23 minutes. Martin Bakken began the scoring in the fifth minute with his fourth goal of the season. Ethan Sassine doubled the lead in the 22nd minute with his team-leading sixth goal, and Maxim Scordo followed one minute later with his first goal of the season, making the halftime score 3-0.
Armstrong extended the lead in the second half. In the 65th minute, the forward expertly directed a cross from Cooper Lijewski into the net, scoring his second goal of the season to complete the 5-0 scoreline.
