News that the K. Margaret Carter Centre [KMCC] team earned the Public Service Excellence Award [PSEA], Bermuda was named the #1Island in the Caribbean & Atlantic by Condé Nast Traveler, and the Bermuda Arts Council awarded student grants to Nicole Smith, Keimya Rayne Smith, and Daisy Mapes Gould were among the positive news stories from the past week.

In additional good news, CedarBridge Academy football teams received new kits from the promoters of Catch A Fire and JoyRide; Fortitude Re’s $50,000 donated to the BZS to support hands-on environmental education programs for local students; Chloe McBrearty won the Under-14 championship at the USTA Level 6 Halloween Howler in Tampa, Florida; and Michael Madeiros, Jah’Zion Taylor, and Heris Ziai helped St. Andrew’s capture their second consecutive CAIS title.
