The BWS team launched a weather balloon ahead of Hurricane Imelda, gathering “critical observational data.”
The Bermuda Weather Service posted the video below online and said, “The diligent and dedicated team at BWS managed to release a weather balloon ahead of the onset of Hurricane Imelda in order to obtain critical observational data. This data helped the numerical weather prediction models provide more accurate forecast data for our precious Island home.”
