Bermuda’s Xahvi DeRoza was named America East Rookie of the Week after scoring an impressive goal for his University of New Hampshire team.
The announcement said, “Freshman forward Xahvi DeRoza [Warwick, Bermuda] of the University of New Hampshire men’s soccer team has been named the America East Rookie of the Week. This is DeRoza’s first career America East weekly award.
“DeRoza scored the game winning goal in the 3-2 win at Binghamton in the 88th minute for his first collegiate goal as he fired a shot from 25 yards out to the lower right side of the net.”
