Lloyd’s Approves Ariel Re Syndicate 2006
Ariel Re has received Lloyd’s approval to launch and underwrite through its new, diversified Syndicate 2006 for the 2026 Year of Account.
A spokesperson said, “Ariel Re Managing Agency Limited is pleased to announce that Lloyd’s has formally approved the establishment and management of Ariel Re Syndicate 2006. Effective immediately, the syndicate has been granted Permission to Underwrite in accordance with its agreed business plan for the 2026 Year of Account.
“This approval follows the confirmation from Lloyd’s Capital & Planning Group [CPG] of the 2026 business plan and syndicate ECA, as communicated on 9 September 2025.
“Syndicate 2006 has been established as a more balanced and diversified reinsurance platform, underwriting both specialty lines and property reinsurance. The syndicate will use Ariel Re’s expertise and strong track record in specialty classes such as marine, energy, cyber, transition, and renewables as a foundation for further expansion.
“With a commitment to underwriting excellence and advanced technical capabilities, Ariel Re is confident that Syndicate 2006 will deliver meaningful capital solutions for clients and generate attractive returns for investors.
