Football: Bermuda Earn Draw Against Trinidad
The Bermuda national football team drew 2-2 with Trinidad and Tobago in the final match of their World Cup qualifying campaign at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain yesterday [November 18].
Trinidad opened the scoring in the ninth minute through Kobi Henry.
However, Bermuda equalised thanks to a goal by midfielder Ne-Jai Tucker on the hour mark.
Bermuda took the lead in the 64th minute through winger Djair Parfitt-Williams before Trinidad grabbed an equaliser when Nathaniel James netted in the 66th minute.
The draw earned Bermuda their first point in group B in the final round of the Concacaf World Cup qualifiers.
There was some confusion during and directly after the match because the broadcast showed a goal by Bermuda as being disallowed, however that was not the case.
