Bermuda Squash Club Championships Continue
The top seeds in both the men’s and women’s open divisions advanced to the finals following the semi-final round of the Bermuda Squash Association Club 2025 Championships at the Devonshire club.
In the men’s open division, number one seed Noah Browne defeated D’vario Thompson in straight games. Browne secured the 3-0 victory with scores of 11-4, 11-6, 11-9 in a match lasting 21 minutes.
He will face number two seed Anaya Smith, who overcame a first-game deficit to defeat Kristian Muldoon. Smith lost the opening game but recovered to win 3-1, posting scores of 6-11, 11-6, 12-10, 11-2 in 26 minutes.
The women’s open final will also feature the top two seeds. Number one seed Eilidh Franklin advanced after defeating Susie Howells 3-0. Franklin won 11-8, 11-6, 11-2 in 17 minutes.
Number two seed Rachel Barnes joined her in the final after a 32-minute match against Abigail Brewer. Barnes won 3-1 with scores of 11-8, 11-7, 8-11, 11-6.
In the men’s B division, both semi-finals lasted 22 minutes and resulted in straight-game victories. Top seed Owen Rosorea defeated Mason Smith 3-0 [11-8, 11-9, 11-9], while number two seed Arun Kikkeri defeated Michael Schrah 3-0 [11-6, 11-8, 11-8].
