The One Bermuda Alliance hosted its annual Warwick Seniors Tea at St. Mary’s Church Hall.

A spokesperson said, “Last Saturday, the One Bermuda Alliance hosted its annual Warwick Seniors Tea. MP Douglas De Couto, Senators Victoria Cunningham, Tarik Smith, and Dion Smith all welcomed seniors to St. Mary’s church hall for an afternoon of treats, education, and entertainment.

“Neville Grant, CEO of the Bermuda Bankers Association, spoke to the attendees about banking fraud, how to detect it, and ways to avoid it. He gave a lively presentation and answered many questions.

“Senator Cunningham also hosted a series of fun activities, including a short quiz and friendly competitions for ‘most grandchildren’ and ‘best dressed,’ with prizes awarded to the winners.

“Finally, the seniors enjoyed entertainment by Joy T. Barnum, one of Bermuda’s most accomplished singers. Ms. Barnum closed out the afternoon with her impressive and moving performance.”

The hosts would like to give special thanks to:

  • Our volunteers who provided tasty treats and ran the event
  • Neville Grant and the Bermuda Bankers Association for the presentation
  • Joy T. Barnum for her outstanding entertainment.
  • St. Mary’s Church for use of the hall
  • The Marketplace for supplying food
