……suppose you don’t have internet smartphone or any phone, how do you speak to Mr King or any MP to get assistance to remedy your pain? Phenomenal initiative, lets reach those who are “lost” in the triangle without media or digital access

“suppose you don’t have internet smartphone or any phone”

Go to the Bermuda Library on Queen Street. It has computers that people can use to access the internet.

    • Hilarious says:

OR, go down to Mr. King’s office and register in person.

    • Really says:

So how did you figure out responding on the internet? Help others. You did it and so can you tell and help others. But we find every childish response to find fault. If it is a meeting you write and ask about transport but no problem getting from Somerset to town for bingo or a parade.

  2. Seriously.... says:

What a Unintelligent Comment…. so what alternative then… you want him to offer then? carrier pigeons. how many people you know don’t have a phone now days… or some sort of internet access.

  3. Progress says:

Finally a MP that wants to make time to talk to the voter base. Thank you Mr. King. This should be the norm. The only time a MP has ever been interested in me is election time. I applaud him for taking a step in a positive direction.

What if you have already gone to said open office hours after previous articles about availability, and nothing came of it to assist with your pain or concerns? How will there be any record of what the concerns are and/or if they have been addressed in a timely manner or at all? Sounds like the Ombudsman that listens, and has a large trench of unresolved issues.

Be grateful you were not threatened with a beating for daring to ask a question of a politician.

  5. PAC MAN says:

Apparently the talking is not over, with the need for more of the same .

Mr. King are you going to stir the pot of discontent of which i am sure you are aware of the fact remains that this island is hurting real bad.

MR King I have no intension of attend Mr. Kings talk show as he will tell me what to do and when to do it, pay more taxes for nothing ,but waste.

Mr. King in my opinion is not going to role up his sleeves for any one but himself, because that is what politicians do without fail.

Mr. King, as our elected representative ,you were partitioned to do a job.

Mr . King , why do you not just get on with it.

    • PAC MAN says:

Further to my previous comment of November 6 th /25 and all the valuable comment from others you all will no doubt see there was no response from Mr king and you never will ,because of the disconnect awarded to the general public so what does that tell you? I realize that one man can not be all things to all people and those who contribute to the pages of Bernews , who really care more so than many, with frustration an occasional fits of anger which often shows its face ,some good and some not so, for my part at lease , what i have to say will bear some fruit , i and others got on Mr. Kings back reluctantly yesterday only to be ignore can we expect more of the same ? does he not know what is wrong here you see it in peoples faces all over this island. I hope he did no run an hide as most do, i do not have a personal problem with Mr King ,i don’t know him, but i do expect least he come’s to the table of persuasion. The problem is not what he wants, it is what this country needs for every one.

May i ask if Mr King’d Meetings are a closed shop as it seems.

  6. Down with the Titanic says:

Robert King if you really think this is your golden ticket to winning the next election, prepare to be given the foot in three years. The voters you need to flip back won’t just stroll up to your office like it’s a block party when they know you only serve tea. The only crowd you’ll get is your usual UBP fan club-those die-hard OBA voters who never miss a chance to show up. Meanwhile, everyone else above and below is probably blogging hard, trying desperately to keep you and the party afloat as the ship sinks back where it belongs.

  7. PAC MAN says:

Mr king i see that you are willing to give 2 hours of your time to the general public by appointment in order to find out what the problems are, that may take months and or years to deal with as many have not been addressed. Well Sir ! that monumental task has not reached 10,000 yet, However ,you should know what number one is, you do not need to ask ,you know. Number one has been pass over for far to long and has gone septic Do you want to deal with ACCOUNTABILITY. in all it various forms. ? Every business in this island has a mandate of accountability on record but not the biggest of them all. Way back i did not care for industrial union that was until I needed one .
