TCS Thanks Donors And Community Partners

Transitional Community Services marked Giving Tuesday by honouring the partners whose generosity empowers its mission to support young men across Bermuda.

A spokesperson said, “In honor of Giving Tuesday, Transitional Community Services [TCS] takes this opportunity to acknowledge the tremendous generosity of the many donors, individuals, businesses, and community partners who ensure that we can continue offering essential services to young men across Bermuda. These partnerships strengthen our mission, sustain our work, and directly impact the lives of the young men who choose to engage in our program.

“At TCS, young men are not simply referred, they opt in, and because of this we refer to them as members; not clients. Regardless of how they arrive at our doors, each member makes an empowered decision to participate, engage, and take meaningful steps toward a more stable future. That decision is strengthened by the sense of community and belonging that defines TCS. For many, this is the first environment where they feel genuinely seen, supported, and valued.

“Research consistently shows that when young adults engage in prosocial activities and supportive community networks, their likelihood of high-risk behaviors decreases while their stability, confidence, and long-term wellbeing increase. This is reflected daily in the progress we witness among our members.

“Our ability to create such an environment is made possible by the steadfast support of our partners. Some examples of these partnerships include:

  • “Deloitte dedicated a full Day of Service on November 6, 2025.
  • “Resolution Re continues to give generously, donating Christmas gift bags annually and supporting our pantry monthly, ensuring our members have access to essential items throughout the year.
  • “Christ Church Warwick provides warm, home-cooked meals twice per week, a compassionate act that offers nourishment and consistency to our young men.
  • “A supportive local restaurant extends a monthly discount for our Member Night meals, helping us create a welcoming space where young men gather, connect, and build community.
  • “A local gym, which provides free memberships to every young man enrolled in TCS, offering a powerful prosocial outlet that promotes healthy routines, strengthens relationship-building, and expands each member’s personal network.

In honor of Giving Tuesday, Dr.Tiffanne Thomas, Founder of TCS and Vice Chair of the Board, said, “Giving has the power to interrupt cycles of hardship, and replace them with possibility. There is nothing more powerful than a community choosing to believe in someone else’s tomorrow.”

“TCS remains deeply committed to removing barriers to access. All services, including counselling, case management, employability support, and advocacy, are offered at no cost to our members. This ensures that young men who need support the most are never prevented from receiving it due to financial constraints.

“We are also grateful to the employers who partner with us by providing Skills Development Opportunities, offering real-world experience that helps strengthen employability skills and increases our members’ ability to secure and maintain meaningful employment.

“As we continue meeting the needs of at-risk young men aged 18–34, we rely on the ongoing support of community members and organizations who believe in our mission and share our commitment to changing the trajectory of young men’s lives.

“This Giving Tuesday, we invite Bermuda to stand with us.
Your generosity ensures we can continue delivering barrier-free, life-changing services that foster stability, opportunity, and hope. Support TCS today—and help strengthen the future of Bermuda, one young man at a time.
