Warwick Academy students and staff quickly rallied to help provide emergency relief to Jamaica in the wake of Hurricane Melissa.

A spokesperson said, “In the wake of Hurricane Melissa, the Warwick Academy community came together in a remarkable show of compassion and urgency.

“Year 13 students Will Spriggs and Quinton Husband spearheaded a relief initiative, inviting students, staff, parents, and friends of the school to donate emergency supplies for the Jamaica Association’s relief flight. In less than 24 hours, the email went out, donations poured in, and supplies were packed and ready to head to Jamaica — a testament to the power of swift, collective action.”

“Our community showed real heart,” said a Warwick Academy representative. “The generosity and speed of the response reflect the values we aim to instill in our students — empathy, initiative, and global citizenship.”

A spokesperson added, “Warwick Academy extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported this meaningful effort to assist those affected in Jamaica.”
