Kenni Thompson Helps Bournemouth Advance
Footballer Kenni Thompson helped AFC Bournemouth Women make club history in reaching the fourth round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup after a 5-0 triumph at home to Fulham Ladies.
Sophie Quirk, Molly Barron-Clark, Jenna Markham, Katie James and Amber Treweek scored the goals for the home side.
Bermuda winger Thompson came off in the 82nd minute.
It is the first time AFC Bournemouth have reached the last 32 of the competition. The win also saw them scoop £35,000 in prize money.
They will face Women’s Super League side Manchester City in the fourth round of the competition, which will be played across the weekend of January 17 and 18.
