Chorley manager Andy Preece hopes Bermuda footballer Kole Hall could return to action early in the new year as he continues to recover from a health condition.

Hall, 27, has yet to feature this season, prompting widespread support across the football community.

A GoFundMe campaign set up by the Magpies Trust has raised more than $13,400 (£10,000) to assist with medical costs.

Hall led Chorley’s attack last term, scoring 12 goals after joining from Chester, and Preece admitted his return would be a major lift.

“Kole is just waiting on his results now,” Preece told Chorley FC TV.

“If those come back positive and everything is good, he could be back with us within the next month, which would be such a boost for us.”

Preece said Hall’s availability would “take a bit of pressure off” his other forwards and give Chorley more tactical options at a crucial stage of their National League North campaign.

Chorley sit eleventh in the table.
