Sunday Dec 28th: “Good News” Spotlight
News that two families received extremely special holiday gifts as the island welcomed two Christmas babies, Deloitte Bermuda made a $20,000 donation to assist 11 families supported by the Family Centre, and Marsh McLennan supported the HOME charity initiative, reaffirming its community commitment this holiday season, were among the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, brothers Odin, Dylan, and Bjorn Flanagan represented Bermuda at the XX Central American and Caribbean Youth Chess Festival; Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Sigma Xi Omega Chapter donated care packages to two senior residence homes; and MEF Ltd donated $3,000 to the Jamaican Hurricane Relief Fund following Hurricane Melissa through a special brunch.
