Swimming: 2025 Winter Age Group Champions

Jorgia White established a new record in the 1500m freestyle to highlight the conclusion of the Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association [BASA] Winter Age Group Championships. White clocked a time of 18:35.90, lowering the previous mark of 18:37.38 set by Stephanie Myles in 2009.

White also secured the High Point Champion title in the 15 & Over Women division, accumulating 3,319 points. She finished ahead of Marleigh Howes, who totaled 3,195 points. Howes recorded the highest individual score among female swimmers, earning 616 points for her performance in the 100m freestyle.

Several swimmers met qualifying standards for the 2026 Carifta Swimming Championships during the meet, with Elanna Fulton, Colette Durkin, and Axel Wernbo achieving the required times.

Thomas Cechini registered the highest overall individual score of the championships, awarded 694 points for his effort in the 400m freestyle.

In the 15 & Over Men division, Logan Jones claimed the High Point title with 3,444 points. Noah Fulton finished second with 2,829 points, followed by Joseph Lau with 2,768 points.

Ethan Smith topped the 13-14 Men’s division with 2,573 points, leading Jacob Leclerc [2,469] and Thomas Twilley [1,405]. In the 13-14 Women’s category, Isla Cooze took first place with 2,529 points, followed by Zara Bule [2,321] and Sofia Leclerc [2,285].

Colette Durkin won the 11-12 Women’s division with a total of 2,501 points. Madison Fox [2,233] and Evelyn Fahy [2,148] rounded out the top three. The 11-12 Men’s division saw Maxwell Williams finish first with 1,488 points, narrowly edging Walker Smith, who scored 1,484. Kanyon Armstrong placed third with 1,176 points.

In the 10 & Under categories, Myla Desjardins led the girls with 1,206 points, ahead of Willa Wright [967] and Aine Fahy [919]. Niklas Bock won the boys’ division with 924 points, with Joseph Herron finishing second with 224 points.
