Two Officers Complete Advanced Driving Course
The Bermuda Police Service [BPS] recently conducted an Advanced Driving Course, successfully certifying Constables Sacha-Li Franks and Shane Granville.
The BPS said, “The Bermuda Police Service [BPS] recently conducted an Advanced Driving Course from Monday, 10th November until Friday, 28th November 2025.
“Led by qualified examiner and course instructor Constable Darren Glasford, the two student police drivers were assessed on their ability to operate motor vehicles safely and smoothly, with good judgement and consideration for other road users – to the limit of their driving skills – according to road, weather, and traffic conditions.
“At the end of this intensive programme, Deputy Commissioner of Police Na’imah Astwood, Head of Profession for Driver Training, congratulated Constable 2549 Sacha-Li Franks and Constable 2566 Shane Granville on successfully completing their advanced driver training, presenting both with course completion certificates.
“Various driver training courses are held regularly for BPS officers, with Constable Franks and Constable Granville being the latest officers authorised to drive at an advanced driver response capability, using emergency driving, safe follows, and pursuit driving techniques.”
