Adam Hall Selected For World Baseball Classic
Adam Hall, who is Bermudian and Canadian, has been selected to represent Canada at the upcoming World Baseball Classic [WBC].
A CTV News story said, “Adam Hall recently got a call he’d been dreaming of. The once highly touted baseball prospect will suit up for Canada at the upcoming World Baseball Classic [WBC].
“‘Greg Hamilton [director of national teams with Baseball Canada] happened to give me a call one night and said, ‘Hey, if you can get healthy, we have a spot for you on the bench,’ Hall told CTV News.
“Eight years ago, Hall was the top Canadian prospect in the Major League Baseball draft and was a second-round pick [60th overall] by the Baltimore Orioles.
“His professional career has been held back by injuries and under performing but now is a chance to suit up for his country, something he hasn’t done since he was a Grade 12 student with the Canadian Junior National Team.”
