Bermuda’s Campbell Patton delivered a strong performance at the 2026 ILCA Oceania & Australian Open & Youth Championship, finishing 11th in the 40-boat ILCA 7 fleet.

The Hobart regatta tested 191 competitors over six days on the River Derwent, with short, sharp waves and shifting tides challenging even the most experienced sailors. Training out of Sydney, Patton completed the 12-race series with 86 net points, showing remarkable consistency among the world’s elite.

Patton recorded top-10 finishes in eight races, highlighted by a second-place result in Race 5 that split the dominant Australian Sailing Team contingent. Despite the physical demands of the regatta, he remained in contention for a top-ten finish until the final day.
