The Ministry of Public Works and Environment is advising the public that “the ongoing road works along Orange Valley Road in Devonshire have been delayed due to recent inclement weather.”

A Government spokesperson said, “The paving project, which is being carried out by Surface Experts, was originally scheduled for completion by Sunday, 19 January. However, due to weather-related setbacks last week and this week, the project is now expected to be completed by Sunday, 1 February.

“As of today, crews remain active on the stretch of Orange Valley Road between Parson’s Lane and Jubilee Road. Works will continue in the coming days, with paving along the final stretch from Jubilee Road to Middle Road anticipated to begin by mid next week.

“Motorists are reminded that access remains restricted to local traffic only. Detour routes should continue to be used where applicable.“

  1. Triangle Drifter says:

Orange Valley Rd has long been an obstacle course finding a smooth route from one end to the other. Both sides of the road are needed depending where you are. Patches ontop of patches ontop of patches.

Since the machines are in the area perhaps they could do Tee St next then go down to Brighton Hill. Two more area rds in sad need of proper repair.
