Smith & Jackson Win Gold At Pickleball Slammer
Maclean Smith and Leslie Jackson won the gold medal in the Women’s Doubles Skill 3.000 to 3.999 division at the 2026 Marco Island Police Foundation Pickleball Slammer.
The Bermudian pair went undefeated at the Marco Island YMCA. They defeated Cheryl Van Klingeren and Samantha Bagdasarian 11-3 in the opening round, repeated the same score against Sandra Marshall and Jennifer Dayton in the second round, and won 11-4 over Lynlee and Laiklyn Dunigan in the third round.
In the semi-finals, Smith and Jackson beat Jacqueline and Julianne Rudemiller 11-3 to advance to the championship match.
The final was a rematch against Marshall and Dayton, who had advanced through the elimination bracket. Smith and Jackson won 11-7 to secure the gold medal.
