Turner, Munya Compete In Sunshine Showcase
Bermudian athletes Arima Turner and Amaris Munya recorded multiple top finishes representing Montverde Academy at the Sunshine Showcase held at the Alachua County Events Center.
Turner competed in two sprinting events during the meet. In the 60-meter dash, she finished 11th with a time of 7.79 seconds. Turner also placed sixth in the 200-meter dash after recording a time of 25.08 seconds.
Munya represented the academy in the girls’ one-mile event. She completed the race in 5:37.07 to finish in 15th place.
