Daley, Howes Compete In Championship Finals

Bermuda’s top collegiate swimmers delivered strong performances on Day Three of the Ontario University Championships, as Elijah Daley and Isabella Howes continued to make an impact for their respective Canadian universities.

Daley, competing for the University of Toronto, raced in the Men’s 200 SC Meter Butterfly. He posted the fastest qualifying time in the preliminaries at 2:00.46 before returning for the final, where he clocked 1:59.41 to finish fifth overall. The time was just off his Bermuda national record of 1:59.14 and marked another sub-two-minute performance in the event.

Howes represented Western University in the Women’s 400 SC Meter Freestyle. Racing in the B Final, she finished second in 4:25.34, placing 10th overall in the province. Her result contributed to Western’s overall team effort as the championships continued.
