Elijah Daley Sets New Bermuda 200 IM Record
Elijah Daley of the University of Toronto set a new Bermuda short course record in the Men’s 200 SC Meter Individual Medley on Day Two of the 2026 Ontario University Championships.
Daley, a freshman, had previously broken Stephen Fahy’s 25-year-old record of 2:01.85 last season with a time of 2:00.87. In the preliminaries, he finished second with 2:01.04 to advance to the A Final.
In the final, Daley became the first Bermudian to swim under two minutes in the event, finishing in 1:59.80 to win the silver medal and establish a new national record.
