Adrian Roach To Fight In US Next Month
Boxer Adrian Roach will compete in his third professional fight in Greensboro, North Carolina, next month, marking his first bout in the United States.
The 23-year-old welterweight has won his first two contests since turning professional and will step up from four rounds to six rounds for the first time.
Roach’s previous outing came against Emmanuel López in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, in October last year.
“March 21, I’ll be setting foot in North Carolina in my third professional fight,” Roach wrote on social media.
“Battle tested. War ready!”
Roach, who trains at Controversy Gym under coach Leo Richardson, said this year will be important for his development.
“I’d love to chase down a regional title and get my name out there,” he told Bernews.
“I’d like at least four fights between Bermuda and the United States this year.
“I want to capitalise on my youth while my body is young and recovers well.
“You need to chase it and not wait around. I want to challenge myself.”
