Lane Closures On North Shore & Verdmont Road

Motorists are advised that single-lane closures will remain in effect on North Shore Road and Verdmont Road in Smith’s through Friday, March 13, to allow for final paving works.

A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works and Environment advises the motoring public that single-lane closures are currently in effect on North Shore Road and Verdmont Road in Smith’s to facilitate final paving works. These closures will continue through Friday, 13 March 2026.

“On North Shore Road, the affected areas include west of Flatt’s Village, east of Flatt’s Bridge, and near the Aquarium. A single-lane closure is also in place on Verdmont Road to complete paving works previously carried out on Collectors Hill.

“Working hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and traffic controls are being managed by representatives of the Ministry of Public Works and Environment using stop-and-go signs.

“Motorists are encouraged to exercise caution when travelling through these areas and to expect delays.”
