Met Opera Set To Present ‘Marriage Of Figaro’
Mozart’s ‘The Marriage of Figaro’ will be shown at BUEI this Sunday [Feb 8] as part of the Met Opera Live in HD series.
A spokesperson said, “Don’t miss opportunity to see and hear Mozart’s ‘Marriage of Figaro’ as part of the New York Metropolitan Opera’s Met: Live in HD [2024-25] [on film] in Bermuda. This opera on film will be showing at BUEI at 5pm this Sunday in Italian with English subtitles, approximately 3.25 hours.
“Harbourfront will not be serving complimentary snacks, but please call the restaurant directly if you wish to order an interval supper. Usual cash bar before and at intermission at approximately 6.25pm.
“Mozart’s comic masterpiece Le Nozze di Figaro is conducted by Joana Mallwitz, who makes her Met debut, leading an all-star cast. Bass-baritone Michael Sumuel portrays the clever valet Figaro, opposite soprano Olga Kulchynska as his betrothed, the wily maid Susanna. Baritone Joshua Hopkins is the unfaithful Count, soprano Federica Lombardi is his anguished wife, and mezzo-soprano Sun-Ly Pierce is the page boy Cherubino.
