Bermuda U-14 Teams Compete In Play-Offs
Bermuda’s under-14 boys’ and girls’ tennis teams were defeated in the ITF World Junior play-offs in Santa Tecla, El Salvador.
In the boys’ 6th–10th place play-off, Guatemala’s Felipe Bolanos Flores set the tone with a 4-0, 4-0 win over Bermuda’s Riley Maybury.
Ian Lemcke Morales defeated Trystan Thompson 4-1, 4-0 to seal the tie.
The girls’ team faced St Kitts and Nevis in their play-offs.
Arianna Parra fell 4-1, 4-1 to Sierra Mongerie.
Chloe McBrearty was defeated 5-4, 4-1 to Shreya Rawat, giving St Kitts and Nevis a 2-0 win.
Both Bermuda’s teams now move into the final matches of the 6th to 10th place bracket.
