Nifty Rollers, Astronauts, Odd Balls, Spicenix Win
The Nifty Rollers strengthened their position atop the Continental Bowling League standings with a 23–4 win over Sunset at Warwick Lanes.
The league leaders defeated the ninth-placed Sunset in a high-scoring matchup to extend their advantage at the top of the table.
Second-placed Under Dawgs were on a scheduled bye and did not compete during the week’s play. Their absence allowed the third-placed Astronauts to gain ground. The Astronauts delivered a 20–7 victory over eighth-placed New Hope to remain within reach of the top two teams.
In other action, fourth-placed Odd Balls edged the Cubs 14–13 in the closest contest of the round, with the result decided in the final frames.
Spicenix also posted a 23–4 win, defeating The Invaders. The Invaders remain seventh in the standings as the season approaches its closing stages.
