Opposition On Spending Reports & More
“During today’s motion to adjourn at the end of our Parliamentary session, the Premier tabled the report on the Premier’s, Ministers’, and Opposition Leader staff for fiscal years 2023/24 and 2024/25,” Shadow Finance Minister Dr Douglas DeCouto said.
Dr Douglas DeCouto said, “By law, this report is to be tabled by the end of May each year for the prior financial year.
“Until now, the most recent report tabled was in late 2020 for the 2019/2020 financial year. On December 12 last year, we wrote to the Premier requesting reports to the current date, so we are pleased to receive this report today.
“However, we still look forward to the Premier producing the reports for years 2020/21 through 2022/23, also as required, and hope that he will provide these when Parliament resumes on 1 May.”
