Paradise Hitters Compete In Boston Qualifier
The Bermuda Volleyball Association sent six junior teams to the Nike Boston National Qualifier, with Paradise Hitters 17U and 15U reaching the gold medal bracket and finishing 5th overall.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Volleyball Association sent six of its junior teams to the Nike Boston National Qualifier which were held at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, in Boston, Massachusetts, over the last two weekends with great results.
“The top finishers were Paradise Hitters 17 & Under, along with Paradise Hitters 15 & Under who both reached the gold medal bracket finishing in 5 th place overall, competing in divisions consisting of 63 and 60 total teams, respectively. Paradise Hitters 13 & Under and Big Wave Riders 15 & Under reached the silver medal bracket, landing [each] at 7 th place overall in a divisions of 28 and 20, respectively. Rounding out the teams were Big Wave Riders 18 & Under finishing 23 out of 30 and Big Wave Riders 16 & Under finishing 30 out of 35.”
“We knew this would be a tough tournament for some of our teams but we’re very excited with all of our teams’ results.” said Gary LeBlanc, Club Director and National Team Committee [Indoor] Chairman.
