Simply Bloom Launches Parent Masterclass
Simply Bloom will launch a three-part parent masterclass series, “The Confident Parent in a Digital Age,” to help families better understand and navigate the challenges children face in today’s digital world, beginning March 24 with a session led by founder Chardonaé Rawlins.
A spokesperson said, “Simply Bloom will be launching a new three-part parent masterclass series designed to help families better understand and navigate the challenges children face in today’s digital world.
“The series, titled “The Confident Parent in a Digital Age,” begins on March 24 with its first session, “Understanding the Digital Landscape.” The live online session will explore how digital environments are shaping children’s behaviour, emotions, and development.
“According to Simply Bloom founder Chardonaé Rawlins, many parents are feeling uncertain about how to approach technology in their homes.”
“Parents today are raising children in a digital environment that moves incredibly quickly,” said Rawlins. “Many families are trying to find the balance between protecting their children online while also allowing them to participate in the social world their peers are part of.”
A spokesperson added, “The first session of the series will explore why screen time can feel so difficult to manage and how digital platforms are designed to capture attention.”
“We often talk about screen time as a discipline issue, but the reality is that digital platforms are intentionally designed to keep people engaged,” Rawlins explained. “Understanding how the developing brain interacts with digital design can help parents approach these challenges with more clarity and less conflict.”
A spokesperson added, “The session will also explore how online experiences can influence mood, anxiety, social comparison, and emotional regulation in young people.”
“Adolescence is already a period of significant brain development and emotional change,” said Rawlins. “When you layer social media and constant connectivity onto that, it can amplify some of the pressures young people are navigating.”
A spokesperson added, “In addition to exploring these influences, the masterclass will provide practical guidance for parents on creating healthy boundaries around devices while maintaining strong relationships at home.”
“One of the biggest concerns we hear from parents is that conversations about devices often turn into conflict,” Rawlins said. “Our goal is to help parents create boundaries that protect their children while also protecting connection within the family.”
A spokesperson added, “The three-part masterclass series aims to equip parents with the knowledge and confidence to guide their children through the digital landscape with greater understanding.”
“This series is about empowering parents,” Rawlins added. “When parents understand the digital environment their children are growing up in, they are much better positioned to support them in ways that build resilience, awareness, and healthy habits.”
A spokesperson added, “Parents interested in attending the first session of the series on March 24 can learn more and register at: https://bloombda.com/event/the-confident-parent-in-the-digital-age/.”
