Softball: Warriors, Smokey & Raggamuffins Win
The Bermuda Softball League recorded a high-scoring triple-header at the Michael Preece Softball Diamond at Bernard Park, where teams combined for 99 runs in a single night of Pembroke league action.
The highest-scoring matchup of the evening saw the Warriors defeat Major League Barbers 29–22. Alonni Lugo led the Warriors’ offensive effort, finishing three-for-four at the plate with a home run and four RBIs. In the loss, Edger Guerrero of the Barbers went four-for-five, recording a double, two home runs, and five RBIs.
In earlier action, Team Smokey secured a 15–12 win over Bat & Bougie. Makai Steede contributed a three-for-five performance with two RBIs for Team Smokey. Mathew Hayward led Bat & Bougie, finishing two-for-four with two RBIs as the team fell three runs short.
The final game featured a narrower margin, with the Raggamuffins defeating Home Nine 11–10. John Payne recorded two hits in four at-bats for the Raggamuffins, including a home run and three RBIs. Home Nine’s Jesse Marshall finished the game three-for-three with three home runs and four RBIs in the one-run loss.
