Video: Donawa Free Kick Features On ESPN
Jace Donawa has gained international recognition for his free-kick goal during Bermuda Under-20′s match against Costa Rica in the Concacaf Men’s Under-20 Qualifiers.
The superb set-piece was featured at No 6 on ESPN’s SportsCenter Plays of the Day segment, which highlights standout moments from sporting events around the world.
It was shared on Concacaf’s X account, which has 427,000 followers.
The winger scored in the 77th minute of the 3-3 draw in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
Undefeated Bermuda finished second in group E with eight points from four games.
Donawa plays collegiate football for the University of North Carolina.
He is the son of Bermuda Half-Marathon Derby champion Jay Donawa and the brother of Bermuda and Hereford winger Justin Donawa.
Last summer, Donawa was part of the Bermuda Under-23 side that won the gold medal at the International Island Games in Orkney, Scotland.
