Ministry Issues Two Road Traffic Notices
The Ministry of Public Works and Environment has issued two road traffic notices for Harrington Sound Road in Smith’s Parish from April 14–15 and for the Bermuda Sports Lab Triathlon in the Southside area, from Clearwater to Kindley Field, on April 26.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works and Environment advises the public of two upcoming road traffic notices in April affecting motorists in Smith’s Parish and the Southside area.
“These notices relate to water valve works on Harrington Sound Road and the Bermuda Triathlon Association Bermuda Sports Lab National Championship Standard Distance Triathlon.
“The first notice concerns a single-lane closure on Harrington Sound Road in Smith’s Parish for water valve works. The lane closure will be in effect from Tuesday, 14 April 2026 through Wednesday, 15 April 2026, with working hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.
“Motorists are encouraged to expect delays and to use alternative routes where possible.
“The second notice advises that the Bermuda Triathlon Association Bermuda Sports Lab National Championship Standard Distance Triathlon will take place on Sunday, 26 April 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. in the Southside area, from Clearwater to Kindley Field.
“During this period, motorists should anticipate traffic controls and a temporary speed limit adjustment along the event route.
“Members of the public are urged to plan travel accordingly, exercise caution in the affected areas, and follow directions from traffic officials and event representatives.”
