Oliver Betschart Finishes Tied For Third

Golfer Oliver Betschart produced the lowest round of the day to finish tied for third at the Puerto Rico Junior Island Championships yesterday [March 31].

Competing at Grand Reserve Golf Club, he carded a three-under-par 69 in the final round of the Boys’ International Division to close at two-over-par overall.

His round, which featured seven birdies and eight pars, left him two shots behind winner Ayden Febres and Brazil’s Guilherme Yoshikawa.

Meanwhile, Darina Betschart won the Girls’ 15-and-Under division after leading throughout the tournament, finishing at 27-over-par following a final-round 81.

She secured a 12-shot victory over Marena Fontanet and was tied ninth in the Girls’ International standings.

Arman Newton finished 32nd in the Boys’ International Division at 27-over-par after a final-round 80, which included three birdies and six pars.
