Nicholas Narraway Impresses In California
Nicholas Narraway maintained his position in the heart of the peloton as the Redlands Bicycle Classic shifted into its second stage in California.
Representing Competitive Edge Racing, Narraway navigated a high-octane 104.3 kilometres [64.8 miles] trek during the Trek-Hangar 24 Circuit Race.
He crossed the line in 61st place as part of a bunch finish.
Narraway stopped the clock in 2hr 08min 38sec, recording the exact same time as the stage winner, Sebastian Brenes of the Canel’s-Java team.
The result is a tactical success for Narraway, as finishing within the lead group ensures he loses no time to the overall leaders in the General Classification.
After a strong twelfth-place finish in the opening time trial, Narraway continues to impress overseas.
The five-day “Classic” now moves towards the attritional circuit races at Crafton Hills and the legendary Sunset Road Race.
